Happy Birthday Bev

I am doing this a couple of days later which means I barely remember the game.  Most importantly It's Bev's birthday and no one has to know how old she is.  Bev brought lunch for everyone and ate all the sandwiches with lox but who's looking.  She also brought Lilly who stayed for lunch after she said she was going every five minutes.  It was nice to see her.  Rhonda brought flowers which said happy valentines day why not celebrate both days.   

The only thing I remember was Bev tried to have a special hand with 12 cards.  We are learning new ways of cheating every week.

Almost Rhona's Birthday

 It was nice to zoom with Rhona and wish her a happy birthday how ever old she is.  Lets all admit we hate her, not personally just for the sunshine we don't have.  She does look amazing.  

Now to the game.  As Bev has pointed out we have been playing 7 years and I still don't know that you need 125 points for a meld.  Just having a clean triple is not good enough.  We didn't solve the argument that if I would have picked up a card would I then have needed 135 but I would say in future that it depends on whose team I am on.

I still don't understand that if Bev has 4 cards how she still managed to have a pair of *&(^(( fives. You have to keep an eye on Joyce - when she picks up the deck to meld she still takes 4 cards - very sneaky. 

And I didn't forget that Rhonda tried to sneak in a 5 (what is with the fives) with a triple of 4s

Not the Beginning but the first post

 Welcome to the first post.  Lets start with a summery of the last couple of weeks.

Jan 3, 2024 low score -3300.   Not mentioning names not because I don't want to embarrass them but I just cant remember who got it.

Jan 10, 2024  A new low - 4150.  Again names will not be mentioned to protect the guilty.

Jan 17, 2024 In Rhonda's honour, this was a f*&*^^&&^ing day.  Suzy and Bev were losing and making an incredible comeback, when Rhonda at the last card got a specialty hand. F^%%&$ck and that is all I am saying. We were winning and had 8495 and decided to quit because the we lost the next hand and I am a poor loser.

Jan 30, 2024.  Played at Joyce's Bev and Suzy triumphed and got our revenge by catching them with sevens and aces.  Next hand went back to normal and Joyce and Rhonda won.  A very suspicious game with Rhonda getting a hat trick of special hands.  Something smells here.  We ended the day on deciding what Joyce should  do with her carpet.
